Disappear from sight, not consequence

The Chandra Veil is a thin ceremonial fabric threaded with pale reflective fibers that respond to moonlight. When worn, it weakens the ability of nearby observers to form clear memory of the wearer. People may see the figure briefly, but attention drifts and details fail to register, causing the wearer to be quickly forgotten once they move away.

The veil does not conceal the body; it interferes with perception and recall. Prolonged use can affect the wearer as well, gradually blurring their own memory and sense of direction.
